A Word From The Pastor—

Recently, my husband and I purchased new bikes online.
I was like a child on Christmas morning when they arrived
and I couldn’t wait to open the boxes to see them. Elbert’s
is bright neon blue and mine is cotton candy pink! And I do
mean PINK! Once they were assembled and I climbed on
to take a spin the color shock went away!

I don’t remember who taught me to ride a bike. With four
older siblings, it could have been any one of them. But
I like to think it was my Dad. He taught me lots of things
growing up...how to squirrel, rabbit and dove hunt. How
to fish with or without a bobber and how to use many
tools. I’ve seen other father’s teaching their children
to ride bikes. Holding the weight of the child and the bike
upright while moving the entire package forward, letting go
for a brief moment or two so the child could learn how to
balance and ride on their own. Sometimes the release
was successful and sometimes not...ouch!

God is a wonderful Father. He can hold up the weight
of our lives as He moves it forward. The only difference
is, God never lets go! Our life may wobble like an early
bike lesson, but the hand of our Heavenly Father holds
securely to the seat. We have no need to fear...He will
never leave us nor forsake us. I know this to be true by
personal experience. When I have fallen off my
"spiritual bike," The Heavenly Father always
comes through. He speaks softly and gently,
He holds me close and comforts my wounds.

Are you in need of The Father's touch today?
Run to Him, not away! His arms are strong, His
love is large and He is always near. Call out to
Him today.
